Focus On the End Goal
When you look ahead at what you will be rewarded with at the end of your hard work, you motivate yourself to move forward and continue making progress. It’s easy to get demotivated, but if you can keep in mind that you have a purpose and that you’re gaining a lot from what you do then it’s worth continuing to re-engage yourself with the purpose of why you do it and what you want to get out of it.
Set Personal Goals
Setting achievable and realistic goals is a great way to keep you going and to stay focused. When setting goals you can think about what you want to achieve in the long-term and specifically lay out what it is that you want to gain from your passive income stream. You could set targets for the next three months, and write down in each month how much you would like to earn and what you will need to do to in order to earn that sum of money.
This keeps you on the right track, and allows you to have directional focus on what really matters to you at each moment.
Wake Up Early
Waking up early is defiantly something to do, not only will you have more time to get things done, but you can also have a little quiet time to think about what it is that you want to achieve that day and what you will do to achieve it. This extra time in the morning allows you to get organised and start your day with focus.
Create a List
Lists are great as they allow you to keep track of what you tasks need to do and what you need to focus on. It organises your day-to-day activities and provides you with clarity. Be specific with what you actually need to do so that you can just get on with it without having to work out each activity. If you’re planning to do certain tasks in one day, write them down in priority order and then work on them one-by-one, and when you finish that task simply tick or cross it out. This is a satisfying process as you can see what tasks you have accomplished over time and enables you to feel motivated and ready for the next task.
Go For a Walk
First thing in the morning a walk can be very refreshing, and will allow you to reflect on what you have accomplished, and what your schedule is for the current dat. It also wakes you up and just that little bit of exercise can make a big difference to both your health and motivation levels which can have a massive impact on your day.
Breaks are essential when you’re working hard, whether at your desk or anywhere else. If you have been working for two hours and find that you are demotivated and fatigued, get up and do something to refresh yourself. Don’t continue doing the work if your heart is not in it. Make a cup of coffee, tea, drink water or just get some fresh air. You will feel more awake and restored and can get back to work feeling ready to be productive.
